Ramona Quimby - fabric doll
Fans of author Beverly Cleary will be familiar with her most beloved literary character, Ramona Quimby. This sweet fabric doll, which was designed to bring the impish Ramona to life, was made in my doll workshop over several days. Her body consists of beige broadcloth, and she is dressed in a custom sewn sweater/jumper ensemble with white socks and hand-sewn felt sneakers. She stands approximately 33 cm (or 13 inches) in height.
Ramona's facial features were hand painted using fabric paint and touched up with Prismacolor coloured pencils. Her hair is a soft light brown yarn, cut to resemble Ramona's trademark bob.
Please note that Ramona is not designed as a toy that can withstand the rough play of small children. She is best suited for gentle play...or to serve as a collectible display item.
